Graduates

"At William Buck we recognise that our people are our success. We take pride in developing talented people into exceptional professionals who are well rounded and happy people."

Clyde Young, Managing Director, Auckland

Each year we recruit four to six graduates who aspire to become chartered accountants.

What does our aspiration of changing lives mean to you? It means providing you a wide range of experiences and learning opportunities. We want to positively impact your life as well as your career.

We hope that William Buck New Zealand and the wider William Buck group will provide you with the ideal home to build your long term career. But we also aim to make you our biggest fan and ambassador should you ever leave to pursue your next dream.

As an Approved Training Employer (ATE) we always have team members working through their CA qualification. What assistance do we provide?

How’s this:

  • support from others doing their CA programme - both your personal mentor and team wider members
  • payment of course fees
  • assistance with the purchase of text books
  • and time off to study!

Our comprehensive graduate training schedule ensures you develop a solid technical foundation. Our graduates love attending a 4 or 5 day graduate training college held for all WB group graduates across New Zealand and Australia. These annual events are usually held in Australia…travel bonus!

A commitment to life long learning will be critical to your success. Our in-house and external training courses ensure you the knowledge required to be trusted advisors and to meet your CA ANZ continuing professional development (CPD) requirements.

To apply for a graduate role, please email your application to graduate.jobs@williambuck.co.nz

Please ensure all applications include:

  • A cover letter
  • Your CV detailing your employment history, education details and contact details
  • A copy of your university transcript
In your cover letter make sure to tell us why you are passionate about being a Chartered Accountant and what you would do personally to live up to the aspirations of Changing Lives. We want to see a glimpse of your personality, uniqueness, values, and what's in your future.
